LSD cases among South Korea's cattle close to 30

Confirmed cases of lumpy skin disease (LSD) in South Korea's cattle rose to 29, officials said on October 25, with health authorities speeding up efforts to administer vaccines to livestock nationwide.
The country reported its first ever outbreak of the disease last week. Since then, confirmed cases have been on the rise with seven suspected cases currently under investigation.
Health authorities expect additional confirmed cases in the coming weeks, considering that it typically takes around three weeks for vaccinated cattle to develop protective antibodies against the disease.
