South Korea livestock feed producer buys about 68,000 tonnes of corn in tender

European traders said Nonghyup Feed Inc, a South Korean livestock feed producer, has purchased an estimated about 68,000 tonnes of animal feed corn in an international tender for up to 138,000 tonnes, Nasdaq reported.

For arrival in South Korea in January 2023, the corn was purchased at an estimated price of US$329.99 per tonne c&f plus a US$1.70 per tonne surcharge for additional port unloading.

The seller was said to be trading house Cofco.

The Black Sea region is the only optional origin for the corn. The traders said that a second consignment of corn that was also requested in the tender and was due to arrive around February 5, 2023, had not yet been purchased.
