Ukraine's Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food focused attention of grain exporters on the high export potential of corn and barley.
This was declared by the press-service of the Ministry on October 24.
According to the announcement, in November the rate of wheat exports will significantly decrease towards the complete corn replacing, which volumes are coming on the market. At the same time, in the current marketing period the expected volume of its exports may total 12 million tonnes.
As a result, in the recent week there was a significant enhancement of the rates of corn exports from Ukraine - to the level of 836,000 tonnes as of October 23, against 359,000 tonnes in September. Besides, there are nearly 500,000 tonnes of corn, prepared for exports, which are located in the port and loaded on vessels.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of the reporting date, Ukraine already exported 3.8 million tonnes of wheat from the general contracted volume of 5.4 million tonnes.
