Canada now allows imports of Itay's raw hams, including those from ASF-affected area

Canada reopened to imports of Italian raw hams, Italy's Ministry of Health announced following extensive negotiations.

Permitted imports include those from plants located in areas affected by African swine fever (ASF) in restriction zone 2.

Italy is the first European country with cases of ASF to obtain the green light from Canada for the export of products from these areas.
