Price quotes of US feed-grade whey slid to the range of US$397-705/tonne.
Market analysis
Whey market was quiet as feed producers limited purchases while piglet feed consumption was slow. Prices of whey remained stable, however, as imports from the US were delayed.
Market forecast
Sluggish piglet feed demand will continue to hamper the sales of whey in China. Traders will be under pressure to give discounts although low profit margins will limit the fall in prices.
