Corn and soybean harvest in Illinois, US outpaces averages

 
 

 

The latest data from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) reveals that the corn and soybean harvest in Illinois, US continues to advance ahead of the average pace, Brownfield Ag News reported.

 

As of the most recent report, 70% of the corn crop has been harvested in the state. This figure represents a significant increase from the prior week's 52% and is notably three percentage points ahead of the five-year average.

 

In the case of soybeans, the harvest is currently at an 80% completion rate. This marks a substantial leap from the previous week's 51% and places the soybean harvest 9 percentage points in front of the average pace.

 

Moreover, the USDA report indicates that winter wheat planting in Illinois has reached 73% completion, with 36% of the crop having already emerged.
