UN World Food Programme thanks China for her US$6 Million donation
The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) has expressed its gratitude to China for contributing US$6 million to its emergency operation to assist 1 .3 million people impacted by the Ebola virus outbreak, at a press conference in Beijingearlier this week.
WFP's representative in China, Brett Rierson, said the donationwould allow WFP to purchase vital food supplies for over 300,000 people for one month in the three most-affected countries - Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
