Morpol appoints new CEO and COO
Salmon processor company, Morpol ASA, has appointed Adam Basalaj as its new CEO.
Possessing strong managerial experiences from the food industry, Basalaj was previously the managing director of Frosta Poland, a leading supplier of branded frozen consumer goods in Poland.
Basalaj will replace John-Paul McGinley who has been serving as acting CEO since February 2013. The latter is taking over as Morpol's chief operating officer (COO) for sales and marketing.
Meanwhile, Teis Knudsen has been appointed as COO for processing. Knudsen has an extensive career in management from the seafood industry and is currently the managing director of Espersen Poland. He will begin his new position on December 1, 2013.
