Aujeszky's disease strikes pig farm in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, France

 

 

 

The World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) reported the re-occurrence of an Aujeszky's disease outbreak in France on October 16.

 

The outbreak started on September 28 with seven positive cases detected on a pig farm with 200 animals located in Entrepierres, the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

 

According to WOAH, control measures, which entail zoning, movement control and surveillance within the restriction zone, were implemented.

 

The last occurrence of the disease was reported in May 2022.
