US agency prompts recall on meat, poultry and egg products without allergen warning label and unsanitary conditions
The US Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) found MawMaw Chicken Pies did not indicate allergen warnings on product labels, and T&R Enterprise USA produced products in unsanitary conditions, reported CNN.
MawMaw Chicken Pies products such as chicken pies and meat loaf contain known allergens milk and soy but were not identified on product packaging.
An FSIS inspector discovered the issue during a routine label verification. No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported from consuming the products.
