Hatsun Agro invests US$9.2 million in expanding Indian cattle feed unit

 


Hatsun Agro Production has increased the capacity of its cattle feed production unit near Palani, Tamil Nadu, India, with a US$9.2 million investment, moneycontrol.com reported. 
 

Capacity for that unit has been boosted to 1,000 tonnes daily from a previous 650 tonnes a day. The plant will also produce cattle feed made with the best ingredients available, which could improve animal health and milk yield, said  Hatsun Agro's chairman and managing director R.G Chandramogan.

 

According to the dairy company based in Chennai, India, the new production line is already operational and will meet rising demand for its Santosa brand. 
 

"This expansion facilitates our intention for continuous and consistent support to our farmers who seek good quality feed for their cattle," Hatsun Agro chairman and managing director R.G Chandramogan said.
 

In addition, the expansion will help to fulfill growing needs of farmers in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
