Jordan tenders to buy 100,000 tonnes feed barley
An official at Jordan's Ministry of Trade and Industry said Sunday (Oct 22) it was tendering to buy 100,000 tonnes of feed barley on a cost and freight basis.
The first 50,000 tonnes are for shipment during the first half of December, while the second 50,000 tonnes are for shipment during the second half of December, Muhannad Ghesh, senior importer at the ministry, told Dow Jones Newswires.
The deadline for bids is Nov 8.
Jordan last bought barley Oct 17 when it purchased 50,000 tonnes of Black Sea or European Union origin at US$213.50 a tonne.
