Cobb-Vantress appoints distributor for Middle East
The Saudi Grand Parent Company, to be known as Cobb Saudi Arabia, is to become the franchise distributor for Cobb broiler breeders in the Arab Gulf area known as the GCC countries including Yemen.
A new complex with a planned capacity of over five million breeders per year will house Cobb grandparents. The facility will be based near the Al Jouf area in Saudi Arabia for biosecurity reasons.
Ibrahim Al Thonayan, who heads the Saudi Grand Parent Company, and his partners will become the exclusive Cobb distributors in the near future, with the first parent stock expected to hatch in 2010.
