Australia's 2010 grain outlook remains uncertain on dry weather
Australia's grain handler says it is too early to say how badly crops have been affected by this year's unseasonal dry conditions.
Harvest got underway in the Northern Agricultural zone a fortnight ago.
To date, just over 12,000 tonnes of grain has been delivered to the Geraldton Port.
Duncan Gray from Co-operative Bulk Handling says the quality of the grain has been mixed. "To be honest it's all over the place at this present point in time," he said.
"We've had some really good stuff and we've got some concerns for some other quality as well. Just working with growers now throughout the Northern part of my zone in regards to segregations and then hopefully we start to realise that the quality isn't too bad," Gray added.
