Amino Acid Plant with a 120,000 Ton Production Capacity to be Built in China's Jilin Province

According to a report by China Radio and Broadcasting, a Hong Kong company, Hong Kong First Oriental Investment Limited and Changchun Tongxiang Bio-Tech Development Limited are investing RMB800 million to establish an amino acid plant in Changchun city of Jilin province.

 

The plant will have an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of amino acid, such as lysine, glutamic acid, arginine, threonine, etc. The construction of the plant has begun recently and is expected to start production in August, 2004. It is reported that the plant would be China's largest amino acid plant.

 

The plant is being built in the Dehui corn-producing area of Jilin province, which produces high- quality corn for feed production. Advanced production equipment and techniques will be brought in, to enhance the competitiveness of the plant in producing high quality products.
