De Heus starts construction of new animal feed plant in Ivory Coast

De Heus has began the construction of a greenfield compound feed factory just outside of Abidjan in the new industrial zone of PK in Attingue, Ivory Coast, De Heus announced in late-September

The factory will have an initial capacity of 100.000MT pa. It will produce high quality complete feed, expanding De Heus’ current portfolio of Koudijs concentrates and specialty feeds.

Production is planned to commence during the second half of 2022.

De Heus aims to continue to fully serve the needs of the farmers in Ivory Coast, the company said.

Mark Hop, general manager of De Heus Ivory Coast, acknowledged the timing is right to take the step towards local production to solidify the company's leading position that it has built as Koudijs Animal Nutrition.
