Argentina has authorized the export of an additional 227,525 metric tonnes of corn for export from the 2007-08 corn crop, the national trade office ONCCA announced Friday (October 17).

ONCCA will start accepting new export declarations for those corn exports on Monday, Oct. 20.

The export quota increase was based on newly verified stocks, ONCCA said in a release.

With the new shipments, total approved corn exports this year reached 14,895,803 tonnes compared to 14,667,500 shipped last year, ONCCA said.
