USDA Projects 2004 US Turkey Exports At 211,000 MT

 

The U.S. Department of Agriculture projected Friday, U.S. exports of turkeys in 2004 would increase 2.9% to 211,000 metric tons.

 

MAJOR EXPORTERS:

 

European Union, the world's largest exporter of turkeys is, expected to remain at 230,000 metric tons in 2004. MAJOR IMPORTERS:

 

Mexico, the world's leading importer of turkeys, is estimated to increase imports by 5.2% to 163,000 metric tons in 2004.
