Most dairy product prices climb

Batavia, NY – Block cheese prices ended Fri tied for the 8th highest level ever recorded. While cheese was still reported to us as 'tight' this week, we believe the market will soon shift directions. This week, we heard cheese customers had 'calmed down' and were told sentiment was 'less frantic' compared to recent weeks. Also note: we are days away from the start-up of Glanbia's joint venture in St. Johns, MI.
