Canadian Chicken, a Kazakhstan company specialising in poultry breeding, meat processing, and preservation, has commenced the construction of a state-of-the-art poultry production and processing facility in Kazakhstan's Kostanai region, The Astana Times reported.

The project, with a total investment of KZT 55.4 billion (US$114.2 million), was announced by the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry.

The project will be executed in multiple phases and is scheduled for completion by 2029. Upon full operation, the facility is expected to produce 50,000 tonnes of poultry meat annually and create more than 500 jobs in the region.

Spanning 300.5 hectares, the facility will be equipped with technology from leading global manufacturers, including MEYN, Pass Reform, and BIG Dutchman. Canagrotek, a Canadian company specialising in agricultural technology, will oversee the implementation of advanced technologies and best practices throughout the project.
