Nutriad presents at first Poultry Africa Expo in Rwanda

Nutriad has recently participated in the inaugural Poultry Africa Expo Leadership Conference and Technical Seminars in Kigali, Rwanda.
The October event was organised with the Sub-Saharan African poultry industry in mind and focused on best practice in the industry.
According to Nutriad, the year-on-year growth in global poultry markets is set to continue. A demand growth of more than 60% is expected over the next 20 years. This leads to significant global investment pumped into an industry that is evolving, from a national and regional basis to a more globalised platform.
Although recent investments have focused on Europe, the Americas and Asia, the African poultry industry is in a state of modernisation. A rising middle class and rapid urbanisation is accelerating the pace of development in the region.
"Poultry Africa 2017 marks the start of Nutriad's expansion in the Sub-Saharan region," said Erik Visser, CEO of Nutriad.
"The event allowed us to engage directly with industry experts from the region and enabled us to strengthen ties with various local producers, better understand their current challenges and define the appropriate portfolio."
A broad portfolio of science-based applications is available for the poultry industry, Nutriad added. At the Expo, the company's Digestive Performance and Mycotoxin Management platforms were presented.
"I enjoyed the energy level at this inspiring event. We are excited to be part of a developing livestock industry in general and poultry, in particular, in East and Western Africa," said Gilles De Feyter (pictured, right) MEA manager of Nutriad.
"I feel confident that our solutions can help improve production efficiency and will start to spend more time in the various local markets."
