UK authorities to confirm poultry disease
Scottish authorities are investigating a potential case of Newcastle disease at an East Lothian farm, a bough near Edinburgh.
The Newcastle disease, which affects poultry, is highly contagious.
If confirmed, a 1.8 mile protection zone and a six-mile surveillance zone around the premises would be set up.
Officials assured the public there was no serious threat as yet and ruled out any possibility of it being a case of bird flu.
