India Soybean Yields Better This Season
Due to satisfactory rains during the just concluded South-West monsoon season, India will harvest a record 66.9 lakh tonnes (l.t) of soybean in kharif 2003, according to the latest review of the Indore-based Soyabean Processors Association of India (SOPA).
Madhya Pradesh is expected to contribute 41 l.t, Maharashtra 18.3 l.t and Rajasthan with 5.4 l.t, with others accounting for the rest.
