Xinjiang starts work on 100,000-head hog base
Hebei Yufeng Jing An Breeding Co Ltd's 100,000-head hog rearing base recently broke ground in Sanshixituan, Xinjiang province. Costing RMB210 million to build, the 3,000-mu operation will cover a GPS breeder hog farm with a 6,000-head sow base, a commercial hog fattening farm and a biogas facility, among others.
New Hope Group establishes RMB5-billion integrated broiler operations in Shanxi
New Hope Group agreed to invest RMB5 billion in establishing integrated broiler operations in Shanxi province over the next five years.
Planned constructions include feed mills, broiler slaughtering and processing plants, as well as hatcheries and rearing bases, with the aim of processing 400 million broilers and two million tonnes of feed annually.
Hebei Yitong's starch sugar plant completes first-phase construction
Hebei Yitong Starch Sugar Co Ltd has completed its RMB120-million first-phase construction. The 60-mu plant has an annual processing capacity of 210,000 tonnes of corn, designed to produce 60,000 tonnes of glucose, 80,000 tonnes of dextrin and 70,000 tonnes of oligosaccharide alcohol each year.
Annual sales and profits are estimated at RMB240 million and RMB30 million respectively once full capacity is reached.
Bright Dairy plans RMB1.4-billion dairy industry park in Shanghai
Bright Dairy & Food Co Ltd is set to build a RMB1.4-billion dairy industry park in Shanghai's Minhang District, which is also a dairy demonstration plant featuring innovative technologies and high automation of dairy production process.
The park, which will commence operation in 2014 with a daily production capacity of 2,000 tonnes, is expected to yield a pre-tax profit of RMB230.05 million yearly.
Wens Group transfers US breeder hogs to Guangdong farms
Huanong Wens Group's Qingyuan Breeding Company has received 1,265 breeder hogs of landrace, large white and duroc breeds from the US, the largest import for the company so far. They will be transferred to two breeder hog farms located in Xiaosanjiang and Lianzhou of Guangdong province.
Dahuanong's 8,000-tonne Chinese veterinary medicine plant at final stage
Guangdong Dahuanong Animal Health Products Co Ltd is conducting final checks on the technology reform work of its 8,000-tonne Chinese veterinary medicine production line. Based on the current market price of RMB5/pack for Chinese veterinary medicine, the operation should generate over RMB100 million in estimated annual profits by October 2012.
