Hunan's first imported meat port approved by the state
It was learned from Yueyang Chenglingji New Port Co.,Ltd that the designated Chenglingji port for imported meat has recently passed the AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine) inspection.
It is the third platform for imported meat inspection and quarantine port along Yangtze River after Shanghai and Chongqing, and the first of its kind for Hunan. It is expected to handle an estimated of 50,000 standard containers of frozen meat products yearly.
A total of RMB450 million has been invested in this platform, which is divided into three main parts: Pufeng Cold Chain, Haitai Cold Chain and Chenglingji imported meat inspection and quarantine port. The entire platform covers a total area of 14.67 hectares.
It was approved for construction in February last year and building works followed shortly in May the same year. It has passed the preliminary inspection this May and will soon be in operation officially, now that it has been approved by AQSIQ.
