JSR has signed a new deal with the Japanese Corporation Marubeni who is responsible for the JSR franchise in Japan operating under the Cotswold Japan Subsidiary (CWJ).

Building on their reputation in the Japanese market, Shiraishi, President of CWJ, believes that demand for the Platinum parent will continue to grow. This means more investment in high health animals at Nucleus level.

Under the new contract, JSR Large Whites will be incorporated into the Nucleus programme to provide productive genetics to customers and to meet the growing demand for quality pork, according to Shiraishi.

The deal will bring JSR Large White genetics into Japan for the first time providing local Multiplier farms with the ability to deliver more productive parent gilts.

JSR Genetics Ltd is part of the family of agriculture-based companies that comprise the family owned JSR Farming Group.
