Russia's Zabaikalsky Region to invest US$16.8 million in cattle breeding
 

 

By 2020, Russia's Zabaikalsky Region will invest RUB522 million (US$16.8 million) in beef cattle breeding.

 

A representative of the region's governor told RIA Novosti on Wednesday (Oct 10).

 

The region intends to double beef output to 10,000 tonnes annually by 2020 and increase cattle stock by 50% to 106,000 heads.

 

The measures aimed at developing cattle breeding in the region include technical re-equipment and improvement of forage resources.
