Market analysis
AA broiler
Demand for chicken products softened after the long holidays, dragging down the sales of AA broiler. Prices of AA broiler continued to fall, lower by 2.7% on average amid light trade.
After falling to extremely low levels during late September, chick prices corrected higher to the range of RMB0.70-1/chick, modestly higher by RMB0.10-0.20/chick.
China breed broiler
Prices of China breed were stable to higher in most regions as supplies were limited even after the holidays. On average, China breed prices increased 1.5% during the period in review.
Chick prices dipped further while buying interest was poor.
Market forecast
Demand for chicken will be slow during October as slaughterhouses have stockpiled ample inventories. Prices of broilers are seen weak, exerting pressure on the chick markets.
