Russia restricts some Ukrainian meat and milk imports
Russia announced that it would ban supplies of meat and milk from some Ukrainian companies.
Rosselkhoznadzor, Russian food safety watchdog, reported that from October 16, supplies of products of Baltsky Baby Food Dairy Plant and beef of Shepetivka meat factory would be stopped.
Meanwhile, restrictions on supplies of beef from Trostianets and Vatutine meat factories would take effect from October 17.
The decision was made after joint checks conducted by Russian and Ukrainian veterinary specialists at Ukrainian companies in September.
Thus, only three meat processing companies out of 15 meat companies in Ukraine, which had the right to supply meat to Russia, can continue to do so; while 10 dairy companies out of 14 would be able to supply their products to Russia.
