Cash registers ring in the beef sales during South Korea's thanksgiving
Strong sales has given beef sales a boost among South Korea's top retailers during the Thanksgiving period last week, the Korea Herald reported.
Beef ribs was one of the most popular items sold in Lotte, a top department store chain in the country, where sales surged 55 percent.
Beef gift sets, which usually account for around 40 percent of Thanksgiving food sales, this year doubled to 80 percent at Hyundai department store
Other departmental stores also reported a significant jump in beef sales during the period.
