Taiwan Sugar Buys 27,000 MT US No. 2 Soybeans From Mitsui
State-owned Taiwan Sugar Corp. bought 27,000 metric tons of U.S. No. 2 yellow soybeans from Japanese trading house Mitsui in a tender concluded Friday, said a Taiwan Sugar official.
Taiwan Sugar bought one cargo of soybeans at $269.20 a ton after cost and freight, said the official.
The cargo is set to be shipped either between Oct. 19-Nov. 2 from the U.S. Gulf, or between Nov. 3-17 from the Pacific Northwest, the official said.
Mitsui can provide 5% more or less of the tendered quantity.
