Russia's poultry industry estimates US$420,000 in bird flu losses
Russia's direct losses from the country's bird flu outbreaks were estimated at about US$420,000, the Russian Poultry Farming Union said.
The union estimated indirect losses at about US$3.9 million.
According to the union, over 12,000 birds died in the Ural and Siberian regions so far, and another 144,000 were culled as part of containment efforts.
