ASF outbreaks in Poland rise to 27 so far in 2023

Poland was hit by another African swine fever outbreak, the 27th of such event this year.

The outbreak was detected on September 29, on a farm that kept a total of 62 pigs, located in Długa Goślina, Murowana Goślina municipality, Poznan county, Greater Poland province.

The farm is located in a restricted area listed in Part III of Annex I to Regulation 2023/594.

Two days earlier, on September 27, another outbreak was detected on a farm with a total of six fattening pigs, located in Przêsocin, Police municipality, Police county, West Pomeranian province.

The farm is located in a restricted area listed in Part II of Annex I to Regulation 2023/594.
