Russia's forecasted production volumes of oilseeds in the current year will total nearly 10.4 million tonnes.

This was declared by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on October 5.

In particular, due to increasing of the planted areas, the production volumes of rapeseed are expected to reach 1.15 million tonnes (in 2011 - 1.05 million tonnes).

According to the forecasts, the general production of sunflower seed is forecasted to reach seven million tonnes, a decrease of 2.6 million tonnes compared to 2011.
