Triumph intends a US$9.5 million pork plant expansion

An expansion of its St. Joseph pork-processing plant that will create about 30 jobs is being planned by Triumph Foods worth US$9.5 million.

Triumph said Thursday (Oct 4) that it will build a 30,000-square-foot addition to its plant. The new freezer space will allow the company to better serve growing consumer demand for pork, especially in overseas markets, the St. Joseph News-Press reports said.

Triumph, which began operations in 2006, employs about 2,800 people in St. Joseph.
