US poultry exports to Angola on the rise

Frozen chicken exports from Tennessee, US, to Angola are increasing, with the latter becoming the US' fastest expanding export market.

Angola is booming, but its agriculture sector is still far behind having been devastated by three decades of civil war. With Angolan oil, the country has the financial means to pay for food imports, but naturally shop around for the best price.

Each year, Tennessee exports more than US$70 million in poultry So far, Angola's share accounts for US$5 million of that.
