USDA allocates more aid for aquaculture operations affected by COVID-19
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has allocated a further US$14 billion for domestic aquaculture producers affected by market disruptions and higher costs from the COVID-19 pandemic, Fish Information & Services reported.
The USDA has called on producers to sign up for the the Coronavirus Food Assistance Programme (CFAP-2) after receiving an extra US$14 in funding.
The CFAP-2 programme will be conducted until December 11, 2020.
Aquaculture operations bearing financial problems caused by COVID-19 will be able to apple for the CFAP-2 programme at their local county Farm Service Agency offices.
