FrieslandCampina WAMCO completes purchase of Nutricima's dairy business

FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC has completed the purchase of Nutricima's dairy business, FrieslandCampina announced last month.

The acquisition provides FrieslandCampina's Nigerian subsidiary with additional production capacity to meet the growing demand for locally produced evaporated milk and powder milk.

The production facility in Ikorodu, Lagos State, will become part of FrieslandCampina WAMCO's production network. In addition, FrieslandCampina will add consumer brands Olympic, Coast and Nunu to its product range - brands that are well-positioned in the Nigerian market and consist of a range of powdered, evaporated and ready to drink milk products.

In March this year, FrieslandCampina and PZ Cussons agreed that the former would take over Nutricima's dairy activities.
