Russia is expected to import about 190,000 tonnes of beef from Argentina this year, head of the Russian Rosselkhoznadzor agricultural watchdog, Sergei Dankvert said on Wednesday (Oct 4).
The figure is similar to last year's, he added.
Russia would be able to depend on the beef imports from Argentina, in spite of the fact that the latter had self-imposed bans on beef exports for much of the year.
Argentinean beef make up a quarter of Russia's beef imports last year, Dankvert said.
