Nicaragua to ship poultry to Venezuela

Nicaragua will export chicken to Venezuela in October, reports local news September 10.

The Venezuelan Farming Minister has inspected four chicken processing plants in order to approve their certification.

The factories inspected, which are also now ready for export, were Tip Top Industrial, Pipasa Nicaragua, Avicola la Estrella and Molino de Nicaragua S.A (Monisa), said Donald Tuckler, Executive Director of the Nicaraguan Food and Poultry Producers Association (Anapa).

The initial agreement is to export 12,000 tonnes of chicken over a period of 52 weeks.
