Trouw Nutrition presents joint seminar on feed nutrition in Vietnam

Trouw nutrition's "Green Solutions for Sustainable Culture" seminar was presented jointly with SuChiang Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals and Trouw Nutrition Hifeed.

 

The seminar was a follow-up of the "Face to Face" seminar at the VIV Bangkok, where among others Juergen Steinemann (COO Nutreco) gave his "Amazing Asia" presentation.

 

The seminar was attended by over a hundred people, including professors from several Vietnam State Universities, practicing nutritionists, feed millers and farmers of both livestock and aquaculture.

 

Prof. Dr. Leo den Hartog, Nutreco Agriculture R&D and Quality Affairs, spoke on recent developments in animal nutrition while Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phu Hoa of Nong Nam University, presented on sustainable aquaculture.

 

Leo Den Hartog's presentation elaborated on the challenges to improve performances in the midst of regulations on the ban on use of antibiotics.

 

He suggested products which could be excellent management tools to attain productivity goals such as Selko Selacid Green Growth "MCFA (medium chained fatty acids) + organic acids mix", Optimin "chelated trace minerals", Protimax "hyper-immunized egg proteins", Novasilplus "mycotoxins binder" and Fibosel "exposed beta-glucans from yeast cell walls".

 

Nguyen Phu Hoa shared with participants her research on productivity improvements in aquaculture. Among others, she touched on the importance of availability of oxygen to improve survival rates, growth rates and fish quality.
