Chongqing Yikouxian's mutton and beef processing plant begins production

Yikouxian's beef and mutton processing plant, which is located in the Yunyang Industrial Park, Sichuan province, had commenced production last Friday (Sep 28).

Chongqing-based Yikouxian had invested more than RMB80 million in the plant, which is capable of slaughtering one million heads of sheep and 60,000 heads of beef cattle annually. The cold storage of the plant has a capacity of 1,000 tonnes.

The new plant is expected to produce RMB400 million worth of mutton and beef products annually.
