Dutch dairy farmers see lower feed cost
                       


A good pasture seasons have helped Dutch dairy farmers, as compound feed costs fell about 30 percent per 100 kg of milk, according to figures by several feed producers.

 

Feed company De Heus said feed costs from April to August 2009 declined EUR1.90 (US$2.8) per 100 kg of milk.

 

Agrifirm said total feed costs have dropped 34 percent.
