India Advises Its Poultry Farmers To Lower Feed Stocks

India's National Egg Co-ordination Committee (NECC) has advised the poultry farmers not to maintain additional stock levels of maize in the wake of expected arrivals beginning from the first week of October.

It is also making arrangements to ensure the availability of maize to all poultry farmers at a rate lower than the market price, and would not allow traders to manipulate prices, December.

Trade estimates have indicated that despite the current higher prices in the market, this season will see substantial arrivals after the local Dussera festival.

The state government estimated that maize acreage was at 5,39,682 hectares and average yield would be at 3,176 kgs per hectare due to this year's monsoon rain.
