Canada's Alberta Beef Producers seeks updated information from local producers
Canada's Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) is hoping every producer in Alberta will participate in its current undertaking concerning a "Request for Information," according to ABP general manager Brad Dubeau.
"We're preparing right now a mail-out to producers, for the upcoming producer meetings and delegate election. In an effort to update our records and better serve the industry, ABP is asking for producers to go online and fill out the request for information update form."
Information obtained will be valuable for operations at ABP, said Dubeau.
"The information that we collect, is how we communicate with our producers, and just so the producers are aware, that information will only be utilised in our own distribution data base - and maintaining the data base is constant work, because we rely on self-reporting."
Dubeau added: "Producers that have had a change of address or they have exited the industry, I really encourage them to contact… and provide us with the updated information, so we can best connect with them, when it comes to the upcoming fall meetings and the delegate elections."
Dubeau was asked when details of the fall producer meetings will be known.
"We're finalising details on the fall meetings and we're hopefully [could] put that out very, very soon. Currently, it is looking like we are going to be online with all of our fall meetings - unfortunately, with COVID cases rising, we'll be looking to provide a format that's online, that will allow producers from across the province to participate.
