Rise In Wheat Shipments From Ukrainian Ports
According to APK-Inform monitoring data, Ukrainian ports shipped 329,000 tons of grain cargos last week, which is 13.4 percent more than the week before.
While shipments of feed barley used to prevail in the total grain shipments structure in earlier periods, wheat emerged as the dominant shipment last week. Wheat shipments increased tenfold from the previous week.
The shipments of barley, on the other hand, fell nearly two-fold. Wheat is also prevailing in accumulations of feed grain cargos in ports.
Export companies are buying both feed and milling wheat. Of the latter category the companies are buying not only typically exported mid-quality (4th class) wheat, but the top-quality (3rd class) wheat as well.
