South Korea Feed Group Buys 27,000 Tons Wheat
South Korea Feed Association has agreed to buy a total of 27,000 metric tons of optional-origin feed wheat from Toepfer in a tender Monday, said a KFA official.
Out of this, 15,000 tons were purchased at US$140.25 a ton, cost and freight, for te Major Feedmill Group, said the official. This cargo is expected to arrive Dec. 10 at Incheon. The remaining 12,000 tons were purchased at US$142.95/ton, C&F, for MFG and KFA in Busan, said the official. This cargo is expected to arrive Dec. 10 at Kunsan and Ulsan, and the price includes the charge for delivery to two ports, he said.
Mid-May, it was reported that KFA bought 104,000 tons of optional-origin feed wheat from Toepfer via private talks, at US$121.97/ton, C&F, for arrival at Incheon in September and October, said traders.
