Algerian agency ONAB tenders to buy animal feed corn and barley

Algerian state agency, ONAB, has initiated international tenders for the procurement of approximately 90,000 metric tonnes of animal feed corn and 30,000 metric tonnes of feed barley, European traders said, Nasdaq reported.

ONAB is seeking supplies of animal feed corn to be delivered in three consignments, each consisting of a minimum of 30,000 tonnes. These shipments are expected to originate from either Argentina or Brazil, with delivery scheduled between October 15 and October 31, 2023.

On the other hand, the feed barley is being procured in a single consignment and may come from unspecified optional origins. These shipments are anticipated to occur between November 1 and November 15, 2023.

Notably, in ONAB's preceding international tender for up to 60,000 tonnes of feed corn, it is believed that the agency successfully purchased approximately 30,000 tonnes, as indicated by traders on September 21, 2023.
