Paraguay's meat production expected to hit historic profits this year
Livestock traders in Paraguay foresee near US$2 billion profits by the end of a favourable 2021, National Service for Animal Quality and Health's (Senacsa) José Carlos Martín announced recently.
During the Senacsa Night event at Expo 2021, Martín explained that all meat export items - beef, pork and poultry as well as products and by-products of animal origin- are expected to yield an unprecedented US$2 billion, which would represent a 70% growth compared to 2020 figures.
2021 will be a historical record in livestock exports, with a 70% growth in foreign trade compared to the previous year, Martín told local business leaders in all areas of livestock production, meat processing and agriculture.
