South Korea to issue bird flu alert in mid-October

South Korea will issue a bird flu alert in mid-October in preparation for the arrival of migratory birds here in winter, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry said Tuesday.

In addition to the alert, special monitoring and quarantine activities will go into full swing across the nation from November through February.
